The classic kilt was a knee high pleated skirt that usually came at the color red with black and white stripes. The kilt was a key part of the traditional dress of men in Scotland and it was very unique in terms of gender because skirts in the western world are considered as a feminine garment. At recent years, while men almost completely stopped wearing kilts, they were welcomed into the women's wardrobe.
The feminine version of the kilt works best as a mini skirt - in this version the result you get is a very sexy look of a pleated fluttering A-line skirt that it's hard to believe that this garment was somehow was considered manly.
